Hohe tauern ski traverse – a true alpine journey

Crossing the wild heart of the Eastern Alps

This ski traverse through the Hohe Tauern is one of the most spectacular and lesser-known alpine routes in Austria. With massive glaciers, well-kept huts, and peaks over 3,000 meters, it combines technical beauty with true remoteness.

Over six days, we’ll tour from hut to hut, skiing iconic peaks such as the Grossvenediger (3,666 m) and Granatspitze, while enjoying broad glacier descents and wild valleys. This is an authentic high alpine journey for fit ski tourers.
