Corso Scialpinismo in Val di Zoldo

Course set in the Dolomites, Zoldo Valley; four Sundays dedicated to the discovery of ski mountaineering in the Zoldana Valley, to learn the fundamental techniques of ascent and descent and use of avalanche kits (artva, shovel and probe).

Tours that will lead to the discovery of valleys and channels in the heart of the Zoldana Valley.

This course aims to provide instruction in moving through easy terrain safely, increasing autonomy in managing a ski mountaineering trip:

- Uphill and downhill techniques,

- Snow and avalanche basics,

- Reading and interpreting the nivo-meteorological bulletin,

- Criteria for outing selection and preparation,

- Elements of Topography and Orientation,

- Searching for runaways using A. R.T.VA. and by survey

The first ascents will be made in Val di Zoldo, a magnificent valley that offers many interesting climbs. Difficulties will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on the ability of the group and the niveo-weather conditions.

This is an exciting route with mountaineering difficulties that can be overcome even by those who have never been ski mountaineering before.
