Freeride Ski Cortina D’Ampezzo

The Ampezzo basin is a winter theater of stupendous canals ideal for freeriding. Tra i più famosi sul versante nord del Monte Cristallo troviamo il Canale Staunies, le Creste Bianche, Forcella Verde, il Canale Vallecant e il Canale Bernardi. These spectacular routes, require an approach with sealskins but allow descents of nearly 1,500 meters of elevation gain in a lonely environment of great beauty. There are also numerous descents on the slopes of the Tofane, among them the Canale della Colonna, the Comate or the Vallon di Raola, which offer descents with elevation gains of 1100 meters off-piste along striking slopes and gullies. Then we cannot forget the famous Tofana Bus, a channel that is reached by passing through a hole in the rock on a shoulder of the Tofana di Mezzo. A beautiful spring route along the sunny slopes above the Dibona refuge.
